Chuseok Holiday Falls Sept. 24-27 — Book Early If You're Traveling Then

This year's Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) holiday runs as an officially designated three-day break from Thursday, Sept. 24 through Saturday, Sept. 26, extending into a four-day stretch through Sunday, Sept. 27. No substitute holiday has been designated.
During Chuseok, domestic travel demand surges, so KTX and express bus seats, along with lodging at popular destinations, tend to sell out faster than usual. Airport arrival and departure halls are also likely to get crowded.
If you're planning to visit Korea during this window, booking transportation and accommodation as early as possible will save you both waiting time and money.
