Checked Out, Flight Not Until Tonight — Where to Store Your Luggage in Korea
Checkout is at noon, but the flight isn't until 11 p.m. — a familiar bind for visitors to Korea. Rather than dragging a suitcase around the city all day, there are several ways to store luggage and move around hands-free.

Both of Incheon Airport's terminals have staffed baggage storage counters that take everything from suitcases to golf bags, ski gear and coats. Official materials don't specify the exact counter location, so the safest move is to ask at an arrivals or departures information desk, or call the airport's customer center (1577-2600, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.). Private operators also work just outside the airport, including Zimpro, Woorizim and Zimzero. Zimpro, near Gate 1 on the arrivals floor of Terminal 2, charges from ₩9,000 per coat, with an extra ₩1,000 a day added once an item has been stored more than six days — worth deciding how long you need before you drop a bag off.
Inside the city, the subway is the densest storage network of all. Seoul Metro's unstaffed lockers cover 279 stations across Lines 1 through 9, with more than 5,500 compartments in total. An app called T-Locker (또타라커) lets you find, reserve and pay for an open locker in one go — an unfamiliar name to most visitors, but the first thing worth searching for when storing bags in Korea's subway. Since a full-size suitcase may not fit in an unstaffed locker, Seoul Station also runs a staffed counter called T-Luggage (또타러기지), where staff take large items by hand.
Storage is available beyond subway stations, too. Services like Zimcarry and LIT (Life is Travel) partner with cafes, convenience stores and hotels around Gangnam Station, Myeongdong, Hongdae and Seoul Station — travelers drop a bag at the partner shop and get a claim receipt. Reserve a nearby partner through the app or website first, then arrive with just the bag; the advantage over lockers is simply having more locations to choose from.
Knowing how to store a bag in advance means the hours between checkout and a flight don't have to be spent in a hotel lobby — they can be spent in the city instead. Whichever option travelers choose, it's worth checking the fee and cancellation terms in the app or at the counter before handing a bag over.
