한국 여행이 처음인 사람이 이 신문의 유일한 독자입니다. 한국인에게는 상식이라 아무도 적어 주지 않는 것 — 지하철 1회권 보증금 500원, 올리브영 택스리펀드 최소 1만 5,000원, 창고형 카페는 11시에 연다는 것 — 을 날마다 확인해 한국어·영어·일본어·중국어로 적습니다.
어떻게 확인하나
- 숫자·요금·시각은 공식 출처(기관·운영사)에서만 가져오고, 기사마다 원문 링크를 겁니다.
- 확인한 날짜를 기사 끝에 적습니다. 날짜가 오래된 기사는 그만큼 의심하셔도 됩니다.
- 틀리면 숨기지 않고 정정란에 적습니다 — 우리가 먼저 찾은 것이 아닌 것까지.
- 이익과 정직이 충돌하면 정직을 택합니다. 광고·제휴로 판단이 바뀐 기사는 싣지 않습니다.

This paper has one reader: the person visiting Korea for the first time. We write down, every day and in four languages, the things no one tells you because every Korean already knows them — the 500-won deposit on a single-ride subway ticket, the 15,000-won minimum for a tax refund at Olive Young, the fact that warehouse cafés open at 11.
How we check
- Numbers, prices and hours come only from official sources — the agency or the operator — and every story links to the original.
- The date we checked is printed at the end of each story. The older the date, the more you should doubt it.
- When we are wrong we do not hide it; we post it in Corrections — including the errors other people found before we did.
- When profit and honesty conflict, we choose honesty. A story whose judgment was shaped by an ad or an affiliate does not run.
Where the money comes from
There is no revenue yet. The booking-help service on the front page is a free trial through 31 October 2026. If it becomes paid, or if ads or affiliate links ever appear, this page will say so first.
