Korea Meteorological Administration Issues Chuseok Holiday Weather Advisory Today — Watch for Fog and Wide Temperature Swings
If you plan to travel around Korea between September 21 and 24, keep morning fog and wide swings in daily temperature in mind. The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) issued its "Special Weather Support for the Chuseok Holiday" at 5 a.m. today. Chuseok, Korea's equivalent of Thanksgiving, falls on September 25 this year, and this forecast covers the travel period in the days immediately before the holiday.

According to the KMA, daytime highs during this period will climb to 24–30°C, while morning lows will drop to around 12°C, meaning the daily temperature range will exceed 15°C on many days. Dense fog may form inland during the morning hours, which could affect early-morning road travel or domestic flight schedules. Some areas along Gangwon's east coast and mountains, the Gyeongsang region's east coast, and parts of Jeju may also see scattered rain.
