Bottom line: If you lose something inside Incheon Airport, go straight to the terminal's own lost-and-found office or call it first. Terminal 1's office is in the basement, west side of the public area (032-741-3110 / 032-741-3114); Terminal 2's is on the 2nd floor of the public area, inside the government joint administration center (032-741-8988 / 032-741-8989). If you arrive late at night and the office is closed, register the item first on Lost112, the national police lost-property portal, to improve your odds of getting it back.

If you didn't know: These offices aren't open 24 hours. Sources give hours roughly from 7am to somewhere between 9:30pm and 10pm, and that can vary by terminal — so if you land between midnight and 5am and go looking, you may simply wait 1-2 hours at the airport until the office opens. Electronics like phones, tablets and smartwatches get handed over to the Phone-Finding Call Center (1566-4300) after one month, and foreign passports go to the relevant embassy after a month too, meaning a late search means contacting a different office entirely, not the airport.

At a glance

Terminal 1 lost-and-found, basement west side, public area (032-741-3110 / 032-741-3114) · Terminal 2 lost-and-found, 2nd floor public area (032-741-8988 / 032-741-8989) · Hours roughly 7am to 9:30-10pm (not 24 hours, varies by terminal) · Electronics transferred to the Phone-Finding Call Center (1566-4300) after one month · Foreign passports transferred to the relevant embassy after one month · Register or search online anytime via the police portal Lost112.

Airports are huge, and it's easy to leave a bag, passport or phone behind while moving between baggage claim, duty-free and the gate. The moment you realize something's missing, retrace your last steps first, but if that fails, calling the lost-and-found directly beats wandering around. Travelers on long-haul flights landing in the dead of night should especially remember these hours — even when the office itself is closed, Lost112 registration works around the clock, so register before you leave the airport and you can still be reached after you've left Korea. Cash and valuables sometimes get handed to the airport police unit instead, so if the lost-and-found office comes up empty, it's worth checking with them too.
