First, pick your route by budget and luggage. AREX Express runs nonstop in 43 minutes to Terminal 1 or 51 to Terminal 2, costs 11,000 won, with reserved seats and room for bags. The local train takes 59-66 minutes with 14 stops but starts from 5,050 won. The limousine bus costs about 17,000 won, 60-90 minutes in traffic — slowest and priciest, but its under-bus compartment holds large bags for you.

Second, know where Seoul Station's elevators are. KTX/local-train gates sit on B3, AREX Express gates and the City Airport Terminal on B2, linked by elevators. One catch: Subway Line 1's elevated platform has no elevator down, so you may need to exit and re-enter street level. Hunting for stairs instead costs 10-15 minutes — with a stroller or heavy bags, just follow signs to the KTX/AREX elevators.

Third, if your airline qualifies, the City Airport Terminal on B2 lets you fly luggage-free most of the day. It serves Asiana, Korean Air, Jeju Air, T'way, Jin Air, Air Busan, Air Seoul and Eastar Jet, open 5:20 a.m.-7 p.m.; check-in closes 3 hours before Terminal 1 flights, 3h20m before Terminal 2. Drop bags here and explore Seoul empty-handed — but you must collect a paper boarding pass at the counter, since mobile check-in alone won't clear immigration.

Fourth, a same-day luggage-courier service spares you the carrying entirely. At Incheon's Terminal 1 and 2, an operator delivers into Seoul same-day for about 30,000 won per suitcase; private counters near Hongik University Station charge 18,000-28,000 won by size, morning drop-off reaching your hotel that afternoon. It costs money but frees a half day otherwise spent hauling bags.

Fifth, for short storage, coin lockers are cheapest: Seoul Station has several banks near the KTX gates and exits 1-2, at 2,000/3,000/4,000 won per 4 hours.
