Amore Seongsu, a converted auto repair shop on Achasan-ro 11-gil in Seoul's Seongdong District, is a hands-on beauty store where visitors can try roughly 2,300 products from more than 30 brands. Before the pandemic, foreign visitors made up less than 5 percent of its customers; these days they account for 80 to 90 percent, making it something of a required stop for inbound tourists.

At a glance: Address 7 Achasan-ro 11-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul · Open 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., closed Mondays · Around 2,300 products from more than 30 brands available to test · Since July 2026, a "delivery zone" inside the store has been piloting an overseas direct-shipping service.

The catch is that testing and buying as much as you like doesn't mean you can simply carry it all home. International carry-on rules cap liquids at 100 milliliters per container, and anything over that limit gets confiscated at airport security on the day of departure. It's not unusual for tourists who bought several full-size bottles of toner or lotion to end up abandoning a chunk of their haul at the airport.

To solve that, Amore Seongsu has set up a delivery zone inside the store where staff take your purchases on the spot and a logistics partner ships them directly overseas, on a pilot basis. That means you can buy as much as you like in the store without worrying about baggage weight or the liquid limit. Since the service is still in a pilot phase, though, shipping fees and delivery times need to be confirmed directly at the store, and it's worth checking in advance whether your country is covered. No reservation is needed to enter, and staff can assist in English, Chinese, and Japanese, so a language barrier isn't something to worry about.
