Bottom line: To catch the 2026 Seoul International Garden Fair, head to Seoul Forest by October 27 at the latest. It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 3 of Seoul Forest Station on the Bundang Line, and admission is free.

If you didn't know: The Seoul Forest section closes after today (the 25th) and tomorrow — just two days left. If you wait until next week, this year's fair will already be over. General admission is free, but the Garden Hunters program costs an extra 5,000 won, and the Park Wildlife Exploration and Rice-Planting classes cost 1,000 won each; most require advance booking, so showing up with just cash can mean missing the paid programs entirely.

2026 Seoul International Garden Fair · Seoul Forest, Seongsu-dong and the Han River riverside · May 1 – Oct 27, 2026 (the Maeheon Citizens' Forest section runs Oct 1–27, with some areas restricted due to construction) · Open 12:00–19:00 · Free admission; paid programs 1,000–5,000 won · 5-minute walk from Exit 3, Seoul Forest Station (Bundang Line), or 10-minute walk from Exit 8, Ttukseom Station (Line 2) · Official info: https://www.seoul.go.kr/festa/garden/y2026 · Organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Inside Seoul Forest, the city says more than 167 small gardens are scattered across the grounds, under names like "Artist Gardens" and "Participation Gardens," and the fair's footprint stretches past Seongsu-dong to the Han River, covering more than 150,000 pyeong (about 50 hectares). Walk in early and the smell of cut grass and damp soil hits first, with silver grass swaying between maples already turning deep red in late October. According to the official site (https://www.seoul.go.kr/festa/garden/y2026), basic admission is free, while the Park Wildlife Exploration and Rice-Planting classes cost 1,000 won each and Garden Hunters costs 5,000 won. Many of these programs run on a reservation system, so they may not be available to join on the spot. The official page also notes that the Maeheon Citizens' Forest section is under construction, which limits access to some paths.
