FANOMENON, 'Korea's Coachella,' to Debut in Seoul December 2-12, 2027

FANOMENON, a mega fandom festival backed by K-pop's big four agencies - HYBE, SM, JYP and YG - will be held for the first time over 11 days from December 2 to 12, 2027, at Seoul Arena in Changdong and KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang. The four companies have set up a joint venture to run the event, which goes beyond K-pop concerts to span fashion, beauty, gaming, film, drama and food, and includes an awards ceremony that puts fandoms themselves in the spotlight.
The government projects the festival will draw 200,000 foreign visitors, 520,000 attendees in total, and generate over 1 trillion won in economic effects. An overseas edition begins in Los Angeles in May 2028. It is still more than a year away, but December in Seoul is now booked as an annual destination for global fandom - a date worth remembering if you are a K-pop fan planning a winter trip to Korea.
