Bottom line: Fireworks light up the sky over Gwangalli Beach tonight, November 7. If you want to be there in person, arrive before 3PM — after that, Gwangan Bridge closes to traffic and every bus route around it is rerouted. If you can't make it, Busan MBC, KNN and the city's official YouTube channel "Busantube" (@Busancity_official) are expected to stream it live.

If you didn't know: Show up near Gwangan Bridge after 3PM without knowing about the closure, and you'll lose at least 2-3 hours rerouting. Bus 3001 and 3006 detour from 3PM, Airport Limousine Line 1 (Gijang–Gimhae Airport) detours from 3PM to midnight, and local buses 41, 83, 83-1 and 108 near Gwangan Station detour from 6PM to midnight. A round-trip taxi you didn't plan for adds another 10,000+ won.

How we checked this

The Busan Fireworks Festival Committee's official site (busanfireworks.com) confirms the event runs Nov 7 around Gwangalli Beach, Igidae and Dongbaekseom, and its traffic page lists bus detour times tied to the bridge closure. The exact start/end time of the fireworks show itself is not posted as a number on the official pages — the 7-8PM window comes from multiple media reports, while the official schedule page (busanfireworks.com/content/schedule) still just says "to be updated." Livestream details are not confirmed on the official site either; the reference to Busan MBC, KNN and the city YouTube channel is based on how past editions were broadcast. The traffic information was checked directly on the busanfireworks.com traffic page on 2026-11-07.
